But we did finally get internet at our house, so maybe our blog will improve. However, don't get your hopes up too much!

Updates on us: Scott is in his LAST semester at UNC. He will graduate on May 8th with 2 degrees in Meteorology and Broadcast Journalism! We are pretty excited for that day to come. It has seemed to take forever (and it has) but the end is finally in sight. I am also in my final semester of classes at CSU and will do my student teaching in the fall and will graduate in December. I'm not sure where I will be student teaching at yet. That will all depend on if Scott gets a job and if we have to move to Timbuktu... (or Kansas which has plenty of weather, one or the other). We are staying optimistic as to where we might be moving to sometime this year. My sister is expecting her first baby, a girl- Jaela Marie- at the end of May, so I'm sure hoping we can move to Grand Junction so I can play with her all the time. (We'll see on that one!)

Scott is working for the National Center for Atmospheric Research in Boulder and is in "Meteorologist Heaven" with all the fun technology he gets to play with. I'm still working at a Law Firm. And that's about all that is new with us. We stay constantly busy with school stuff... That is our lives as of late. Soon that will change and we are excited for new beginnings.Scott and Cortneyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17466003119662713147noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2699072883541060049.post-79943597350577123042009-01-21T09:09:00.000-08:002009-01-21T09:13:38.327-08:00Once Again....And thus it starts again... the dreaded school thing that we have been doing forever it seems. Well we have realized that if things would have worked out right, I should be done after this semester, and Scott... well he already has about 140 credits I think... out of the 120 that you need to graduate (figure that one out :). So now, since that didn't work out right, we're hopeful to be done in about 3 more semesters... We'll see how that one goes. Bring on this one!Scott and Cortneyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17466003119662713147noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2699072883541060049.post-36068258375781006122008-12-24T07:48:00.000-08:002008-12-24T07:56:38.493-08:00Christmas TagChristmas Tag (yes i am at work and should be working, but this is more fun, thanks lex)

Wrapping paper or gift bags? Wrapping paper

Real or artificial trees? Real, but i will say ours is fake, lame!

When do you put up the tree? Right after Thanksgiving

When do you take down the tree? When we get around to it

Do you like eggnog? No

Favorite gift received as a child? Does my laptop count?

Hardest person to buy for? This year it was Jason, Scott's brother

Easiest person to buy for? My mom

Do you have a nativity scene? Yes

Mail or email christmas cards? We mailed ours

Worst Christmas gift you ever received? Don't know?

Favorite Christmas movie? The Grinch

When do you start shopping for Christmas? Around Thanksgiving

Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? No

Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? Everything! What normally is a 5 hour drive back to Greeley, became a 13 hour drive home! We left at 10am on Sunday, my grandma even warned us that the snow would be bad, but how were we to know what was even to come. It wasn't just the snow that slowed us down, it was all the people coming back from the holiday weekend! With so many people, it was impossible to get anywhere.

So here we go: We made it to Vail ok.. then it only got worse. It took us an hour and half to get over Vail Pass, right after we got over it, they closed the road behind us. Then it took us 2 hours to get from Frisco to Silverthorne (which is only about 10 miles!) After we got to Silverthorne, they closed the road behind us, again. We saw a sign saying that it would take 3 1/2 hours from Silverthorne to the tunnel, again, only about a half hour normally.. Then, right when we got into Silverthorne, they closed road up I-70 the rest of the way to the tunnel! STRANDED....

Ok, so it wasn't that bad. We hung out in Silverthorne with no where to go, all the hotels booked solid. Luckily we found a Rec Center that they opened for a shelter with plenty of cots and blankets. It was a good thing we were so prepared for the drive, we had all our winter gear, blankets, plenty of food. We could have survived for a few days!

We only stayed at the shelter for about 3 hours until they told us I-70 had re-opened. Thank goodness.. After making it past Idaho Springs, the roads were completely dry! Amazing.. So leaving at 10 in the morning and getting home at about 11 at night. Those were our Thanksgiving adventures!

Scott and Cortneyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17466003119662713147noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2699072883541060049.post-45066936991510099302008-09-24T08:38:00.001-07:002008-09-24T08:41:19.181-07:00Someday....So, I still haven't really figured this out yet.... Oh well! So this is just a start, so our page isn't "cool" yet. Scott's family got me addicted to the idea of creating a blog so that we would fit into the family, since everyone else has one. We don't have any cute pictures of kids, it's just us for now, but that's alright! Maybe later I'll actually get some pictures up on here so the page will look better....Scott and Cortneyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17466003119662713147noreply@blogger.com2
